NFL: It’s Official! New York Jets Sign Mike Vick, Release Mark Sanchez

After weeks of speculation the deal is finally done. Michael Vick is finally a member of the New York Jets. The deal is rumored to be a 1 year contract for $5 million. At the same time the Jets released former starting quarterback Mark Sanchez before they had to pay him a roster bonus of $2 million next week. His time may have passed in NY, but I still expect Sanchez to get an opportunity to start somewhere with hopefully better offensive weapons. Signing Vick will now create an open quarterback competition in training camp between himself and Geno Smith. It also reunites Vick with his offensive coordinator from Philly, Marty Mornhinweg, who came to the Jets last season. No word about the whole #7 situation we were told earlier that Vick may make a big deal of. Things certainly just got interesting for gang green.

NFL: Jets May Part With Mark Sanchez & Are Eyeing QB Josh McCown

Everyone knows about the New York Jets quarterback issues.  Last year failing quarterback Mark Sanchez was sidelined for the season after suffering a shoulder injury.  Rookie quarterback Geno Smith took over and though he showed promise, there were still notable things he needs to work on.  Now the Jets might bring another quarterback into the mix.

(Photos) NFL: Guess What Mark Sanchez Has Been Doing With His Time?

Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez has had alot of time on his hands since he injured his shoulder in the preseason and lost his job to rookie Geno Smith. He has spent some time on the sidelines earlier in the season, but hasn’t been around much lately after having surgery. Now he appeared today with a totally different look. So I guess when you don’t have much going on you try new things. What you guys think of the look? Hit the jump.

Happy 27th Birthday to Mark Sanchez!  Wishing you many more!

With the early season semi-success of the Jets (especially compared to what the Giants have done), I don’t think even the most loyal Jets fan can careless about Mark Sanchez anymore. He seems very distant from the team and the media, even though he is still on the sidelines during games. Maybe not being in the spotlight is just making him act strange, which is exactly how to describe this video he posted to Instagram. Hit the jump

(Video) NFL: WTH?! Mark Sanchez Makes His Own #StarbucksDrakeHands Video

Is the injury driving him crazy or does this guy just have way too much time on his hands?!  He’s lucky he’s handsome. Lol.  I honestly had NO idea what this was until I saw Sanchez do it and then had to do some research. There’s a video that went viral recently that people are calling “#StarbucksDrakeHands” and fans are recreating that video in their own special way — which is what Sanchez did.  The original video came from a Starbucks barista who sent a woman a selfie video after getting her number (there are different versions to this story of what really happened). Check out the original video along with Sanchez’s version.  Someone please get this guy a playbook or something to study.
