Meek Mill’s recent legal woos may have him temporarily down, but not out. The Dreamchasers team has released a teaser for what could be his next single, “Ambition”. Check it out as the Dreams Worth More Than Money artist gives a sneak peek.
As previously reported, Meek Mill was jailed after his probation was revoked earlier this month, because the judge on his case said the MMG rapper kept changing his phone number and didn’t provide his P.O. with a new one on purpose, slandered both the judge and his P.O. on Twitter, booked shows outside of the city of Philadelphia without getting them approved first, and posted a photo on Instagram with a gun. Though it was reported he’d only remain behind bars for 3-4 weeks of the 3-6 month sentence, it’s almost definite that Meek will be jailed until September at the earliest.
Meek’s lawyers filed a petition last Thursday to request an emergency hearing and/or for Meek to be released on bail, but the request was denied. In the petition, Meek’s legal team argued that not only did his alleged violations not warrant prison, but that the jail sentence was unconstitutional, because the judge did not hold two hearings and give Mill written notice of his violations before she jailed him.
According to news reports, its seems that the more hyper part of MMG Meek Mill will not be granted a hearing regarding his probation violation until September. Christopher Warren, Mill’s attorney says ”All I’m asking for is a hearing to learn why [his jailing] is constitutional and they won’t even give me that.” Everyone is speculating that the rapper was locked up due to things he may have tweeted that would lead to him violating his probation. But did he ACTUALLY violate his probation? Hit the jump to see what’s being done to get him out.
By now we’ve all heard of the exchange between Meek Mill and Wale. Until now though we haven’t heard the MMG boss speak on the issue. Ross sat down with Bullet Mediaand let the people know that MMG is a family and brothers fight. Since that exchange between both artist Meek has been arrested and Wale has dropped new music. Looks to me as if this is just a minor(real minor) speed bump. Drop below to check out what Ross had to say.
Back in 2012, Meek Mill was arrested in his hometown of Philly for allegedly having weed, and it turned out that he had nothing. Naturally, the outspoken MMG rapper went on to blast the arresting officer on social media, to which the cop (who was later fired from the squad for reasons unrelated to Meek) said it “damaged his reputation and character,” and attempted to sue for $750k, stating it was hard to find work because of Meek “slamming” him in the media. SMH! Luckily the residing judge on the case doesn’t hate Meek as much as the D.A. in his probation case, and shut down the suit. More details below.
Even though Meek Mill called out Wale last week for not supporting his, Dreams Worth More Than Money album, Wale pushed all that to the side.

Finally somebody got a hold of Rick Ross to ask him whats going on with Meek Mill. After Philly Fox News broke the news via Twitter yesterday that the MMG rapper is now being held for 3-4 weeks #FreeMeekMill is trending everywhere. Check out the statement that the MMG boss Ross gave MTV regarding the shocking news in the gallery above.
Complex news sat down with DJ Drama to catch up on some recent events. The Dj talked about the 2014 Reebok Classic Breakout showcase, and athletes turned rappers, but more interestingly the current rift between MMG’s Wale & Meek Mill. Check out what Drama had to say on the subject and the impact of social media this day and age after the jump.
Not a good time for the MMG rapper Meek Mil right now, after earlier this week taking to Twitter to talk about his unsupportive label mate Wale. “Rapper Meek Mill sentenced to 3-6 months in county jail. DA was worried about behavior while on probation” tweeted FOX29 Philly. But, Karen Civil has just clarified with his team that the MMG rapper “Meek Mill will be released in 3/4 weeks.. Not months per his team.” The rapper is on probation for a gun charge in a 2008 case, but this news cannot be good with Dreams Worth More Than Money, due as close as September.
Do you think the D.A. is scared for Wale? Lol.
Meek Mill’s right-hand man Omelly has been gearing up for his own solo run, stepping out of Meek’s shadow and standing on his own 2 to put for the Philly streets. Our guys over at HHS87 caught up with the Dream Chaser as he shot the visual to “DC Stamp” in his hometown earlier this week, and give us a behind-the-scenes look below.
