(Video) NBA: Zach Randolph Suspended For Game 7 Against OKC For This Punch

Even though personally I want the Oklahoma City Thunder to win their series against the Grizzlies, even I have to say this is a cheap call. The NBA today suspended Grizzlies big man Zach Randolph for tomorrow’s deciding game seven for “punching” Thunder center Steven Adams. Punching is in quotation marks because it is hardly a punch. In fact during the game itself it was just called a normal foul. For some reason the league reviewed it today and decided the suspension was necessary. With that said it pretty much kills any chance of the Grizzlies winning the game against the Thunder. Hit the jump.

(Video) NBA: Mr. Unreliable Huh? Kevin Durant Goes Off For Thunder, Forces Game 7 Against Grizzlies

The newspaper from Oklahoma City that disrespected Kevin Durant with the headline “Mr. Unreliable” has already apologized to KD, but after last nights performance they should be feeling even worse. Facing elimination and negative critics, Durant was his usual superstar self as he dropped 36 points and grabbed 10 rebounds en route to helping OKC blow out Memphis 104-84. Russell Westbrook also added 25 points for the Thunder who looked totally focused from the start and never let up. OKC grabbed control early and never let go and anytime Memphis made it close the Thunder would again pull away. The two teams head back to OKC for a deciding game 7 on Saturday night. Hit the jump.

NBA: Zach Randolph Hurt By Trade Rumors Says ‘There’s No Loyalty in This Game’

Zach Randolph doesn’t want to leave Memphis.  But there are rumors. Ones he is being shopped around or that he could bolt as a free agent. It’s all about the money. Memphis is a small market team that isn’t going to pay the luxury tax and Marc Gasol is going to get a big contract again in a couple years. So Randolph could be the odd man out. Except he doesn’t want to be.

(Photo) NBA: Golden State Warriors Flick it Up With Justin Timberlake After Destroying His Grizzlies Team

Justin Timberlake is a minority owner of the Memphis Grizzlies and on Saturday night his team took on the Golden State Warriors at the FedEx Forum in Memphis.  The Grizzlies only shot 36% from the field and lost horribly to the Warriors 108-82 but I guess there were no hard feelings as the Warriors players met up and took a picture with Timberlake after the game.

(Video) NBA: Marc Gasol Out Indefinitely With MCL Sprain

Reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Marc Gasol went down last night after a knee injury.  As the Grizzlies took on the Spurs Friday night, Gasol left early in the second quarter after what appeared to be a sprain in his left knee.  After undergoing an MRI on Saturday, it was determined that Gasol has a Grade 2 sprain his left medical collateral ligament (MCL).  While no surgery is required, there’s no timetable set for his return.
