As for the man who won the trip in a bid of $1.5 million he will spend three days in training with Dicaprio before blast off. To anyone that is familiar with Robert Mawhinney and the lifestyle he lives, this might not come to much of a surprise. 30 year old Robert Mawhinney lives in a Luxurious Downtown L.A. condo, and is described by his peers as someone who likes to “travel the world and live life like an A-Lister.” On top of all that Mawhinney also dropped $750,000 on a tour bus, but this isn’t what dug his hole $6 million deep. Its reported that Mawhinney persuaded Comerica Inc. to issue him loans amounting to $6.2 million by providing documented evidence that claimed he had more than $8 million in assets. In reality, he had about $10,000 in his bank account. SMH.
