NBA: Source Says Bulls More in Play Than Lakers in Carmelo Anthony’s Free Agency Decision

Carmelo Anthony lit up the Garden last night dropping 62 points in the Knicks win over the Bobcats.  The feat set a new Knicks franchise record of most points scored and also a record for most points scored in Madison Square Garden.  The magical night also came with a bit a gloom as media and fans alike brought back Anthony’s free agency decision into question.

The Knicks were in the midst of a losing streak until Carmelo Anthony came through and reminded everyone why he was brought to New York.  Anthony lit up the Garden dropping a new franchise record and the most points ever scored in MSG ridding the Knicks of Kobe Bryant’s 61-point night.

The Clippers activated Lob City on Friday night as they took on the Knicks in Madison Square Garden.  A bad pass by Iman Shumpert got picked up JJ Redick who then passed it Jamal Crawford on the fastbreak who then lobbed it up for Blake Griffin who finished with a crazy high-flying slam!


NBA: J.R Smith Explains What He Learned From the Shoelace Fiasco

While we might’ve found J.R Smith’s shoelace fiasco funny, the Knicks and coach Mike Woodson weren’t so amused.  Woodson benched Smith during the Knicks entire win against the Miami Heat.  Smith was also fined $50,000 by the league.  On Saturday night he returned to the Knicks lineup and looked like a changed man.


NBA Report: Knicks Interested in Trading For Andre Miller

The Knicks season started off pretty badly but the new year has produced good things for them.  Winning four of their last five games the Knicks look to be on the right track.  Still the team could use some tweaks with the injury of Pablo Prigioni and poor play of J.R Smith.  They reportedly tried to acquire Kyle Lowry from the Raptors but didn’t have pieces of interest to complete the deal.  Now they’re reportedly eyeing Nuggets guard Andre Miller.

The New York Knicks are currently on a Texas road trip and had a chance to win their second game in a row after defeating the San Antonio Spurs.  The Knicks have been very much underwhelming this season but showed promise on Friday night against the Houston Rockets even with a chance to secure the win, then J.R Smith happened.  For someone who’s known for taking “wtf” type of shots, even this one surprised everyone.
