NFL: Damn, No Loyalty In The NFL, Falcons Cut 3 Top Players

Every NFL off season you know this is coming. Top players who have worked their a** off for their teams get cut because of financial reasons. But in reality what it means is the team no longer thinks that player will still be able to contribute in a way that will be worth their higher salary. This year the Falcons are that team. Despite only being 1 game short of the Super Bowl, they decided to release the leading rusher Michael Turner, the leading sack man on defense John Abraham, and veteran secondary player Dunta Robinson. These 3 players are literally 3 of the best guys on the team. You telling me they couldn’t make the money work for these guys? That’s a shame too, because I do not see them getting back deep in the playoffs without these players. Other teams will definitely benefit though, believe that.

NFL: Victor Cruz Always Shows New York Love

Before you know it football season will be back and New York fans will be hearing ‘Cruuuuuuuuuuz’ everytime Victor Cruz makes a play for the Giants. But he doesn’t have to wait till NFL season to hear fans call his name because the boy be everywhere in NY, and I mean everywhere. This pic was from the Knicks game the other night when they played the Warriors. Cruz has been seen many times at New York area NBA games, for both the Knicks and Brooklyn Nets. He is making it his business to become a staple in the city that never sleeps. I am sure he is hoping the Giants will see him as a staple as well when it comes time to talk new contract, which is coming up very soon.

NFL:(Video) Draft Bust Jamarcus Russell Runs 40 Yard Dash

Some of you will probably care less but this is still fun to watch. Jamarcus Russell, who was drafted #1 overall by the Oakland Raiders a few years ago, and given a huge rookie contract before finding himself out of the league is trying hard with his comeback. For those who don’t know, Mr. Russell has probably been the worst draft pick in NFL history. He never proved he was worth anything and he was out of shape and cut before he knew it. In an effort to show NFL scouts he is taking his comeback serious, he has been working with trainers to get in football shape. He ran the 40 yard dash the other day, which is the mecca of important football numbers. Let’s just say he still has some jelly donuts to get out of his system before people will take his comeback serious. Check out the video after the jump.
