NFL All Pro Teams Announced, Check Who Got the Most Votes

The Pro Bowl selections may have all the glitz and glamour but making The Associated Press All-Pro Team holds more significance.  There are fewer spots and the players aren’t selected by fans which means it’s based off actual merit and not just a popularity contest.  The 2012 NFL All-Pro First and Second Teams were announced this morning.  Check them out after the jump. NFL: From Car Salesman To Possible Champion

I love a story that involves someone not giving up on their dream. Dujuan Harris was an undrafted rookie this season. He was invited to training camp by the Jaguars but cut. Then the Steelers gave him a chance, but cut him after only 4 days. He is a small running back by any standard. He is only 5’7 and did not get much attention coming out of college. Faced with bills to pay he had to look for a regular job. He began selling cars at a Chrysler dealership in Jacksonville, FL, but he never gave up hope inside himself. A week later the Packers called and signed him to their practice team. Fast forward a few months later and he finds himself as the Packers starting running back. The past 2 games, the last regular season game with the Vikings, and the playoff game last week, also against the Vikings, he made key contributions to his team winning. He had 100 yards total in the playoff game. He is so humble he actually still plans to go back and sell cars during the off season. “I just got off the phone with them,” Harris said. “They just told me they sold 10 cars. That’s live. That is live. Why not be a part of that?” Hopefully with his continued effort, he will be able to land a nice NFL contract and not have to worry about selling cars again. IamJOE357

NFL: Retired Jets Coach Puts Team On Blast

If you know football, then you know Mike Westhoff is one of the most respected special teams coaches in the entire NFL for years. He had been with the New York Jets since 2000 and just retired when their season ended a couple weeks ago. Now that he is free of restriction and can speak what is really on his mind he is not holding back at all regarding the Jets this past season. Read more after the jump. IamJOE357

NFL: Hall Of Fame Finalist Announced

The NFL announced the finalist for the 2013 Hall Of Fame class. 15 players were selected as finalist, but only 4-7 of them will actually be picked to enter the hall of February 2nd. This year’s finalist class is pretty deep. There are alot of deserving players who should be selected this year but will have to wait. Read more after the jump. IamJOE357

NFL: Tebow Could Be Finished In The NFL….Forever!!

Tim Tebow’s name has been mentioned enough times in the past 12 months to literally make me sick to my stomach. It is at the point anytime I hear his name I mute the TV and I contemplate if I would be better off dead rather than alive and listen to more coverage of him. Well this could be the beginning of the end. In the NFL at least. I do not dislike Tebow as a person, but it is extremely obvious he is NOT a quarterback in the NFL. Another position maybe because he is a hard worker, but QB just is not his future. Last year when he came to the Jets, only New York and Jacksonville were interested in him. Literally no other teams even considered having him come in. Jacksonville only really wanted him to help sell tickets because he is from the area and is still a big star in Florida. But the Jags just hired a new General Manager yesterday who was quoted as saying “I can’t imagine a scenario where he would be a Jacksonville Jaguar”, referring to Tebow. We all know he is going to be released by the Jets at some point this offseason. His only other option has now been removed so this may finally be it for Tebow. Next time you see him playing football it might be in Canada, or in a semi-pro league near you. IamJOE357

NFL: Another Coach Fired & A New Coach Hired

If you thought the rest of the coaches in the NFL were safe after making it through “Black Monday” a week ago, well you were wrong. Add coach Mike Mularkey to the list of fired coached. The Jaguars let him go yesterday. They went 2-14 last season so I can’ say I am surprised, but then again they had a horrible team. I do not think any coach could of helped much more. In good news however the Cleveland Browns hired Rob Chudzinski, aka the Chud man, aka the Chud-ster. OK, those are not his nicknames, but believe in me a city like Cleveland, with those hardcore fans, add some alcohol and they will have some pretty funny nicknames for him, especially if they are losing. Chudzinski was with the Browns a few years ago as a coordinator. Hit the link after the jump for more. IamJOE357
