Orange juice not tied to breakfast anymore? The demise of people sitting down for breakfast has taken an especially harsh toll on orange juice sales, which have fallen 40%! Only 82% of Americans say they eat breakfast, down from 89% in 1971. Another factor is an insect-born disease called “citrus greening” that is reducing the supply making orange juice more expensive.

Taco Bell Adds New Morning Drink To Menu
Taco Bell has announced that it will be adding Mountain Dew A.M. to it’s breakfast menu in select locations. Mountain Dew A.M. is a combination of Orange Juice and Mountain Dew and is exclusive to Taco Bell until Pepsi launches Mountain Dew Kickstart next year. There’s no word yet on how long the drink will be available or what the juice-to-soda ratio is. I’m not sure if it’s because as a child I was told never to drink soda before 11am or because I just hate soda in general, but this sounds terrible. Read more below. Julie A.
