NBA: Nerlens Noel Says ‘I’ve been 100 percent for months now’ After Sixers Kept Him Out All Season

The Philadelphia 76ers were in full on tank mode last season as they tried to land the No. 1 pick in the perceived loaded upcoming NBA draft.  They traded Jrue Holiday, Evan Turner and Spencer Hawes in exchange for rookies and future draft picks.  One of the acquisitions from those trades was Nerlens Noel, the sixth overall draft pick in the 2013 draft, selected by the Pelicans and traded to the Sixers as part of the deal for Holiday.  It was known that Noel wouldn’t be able to play for some time after suffering an ACL injury but the Sixers kept him out for his entire rookie season as they continued to tank.

(Video) NBA: This Is Bad, Real Bad! 76ers Make History In The Worst Possible Way

It has to seriously hurt to be a Philadelphia 76ers fan. Today is March 28th and the Sixers have not won a game since January 29th! Two straight entire months of losing. Last night after another loss, this time to the Houston Rockets, the Sixers tied the 2010-11 Cleveland Cavs for the longest losing streak in NBA history at 26 straight games. If they lose Saturday to the Pistons they will own the most embarrassing streak all by themselves. The 26 game streak is not only the worst in NBA history, it is the worst in any of the major sports in America. If they win Saturday they will feel like they just won a championship.

NBA: Sixers GM Took Evan Turner to the Airport After Trading Him to the Pacers

It’s no secret that the Philadelphia 76ers are tanking as they unloaded all their best players including Evan Turner.  There were no hard feelings on the team’s side, however, and first-year Sixers GM Sam Hinkie made that clear with a gesture he made to Turner on his way out of town.
