It would seem as though the recent events in the life of Yasiin Bey have forced him into retirement. Bey, formerly known as Mos Def, was detained in South Africa for using an expired visa and a world passport. A special message from Yasin Bey was posted to Kanye West’s website, being a retirement from music and film. “Effective immediately,” following the last album to be released this year, the retirement will take place. Red Sox slugger David Ortiz is planning to retire at the end of the 2016 MLB season, according to a report from FOX baseball reporter Ken Rosenthal Tuesday, citing unnamed sources.
