NBA: Kobe Discusses Retirement, If He’ll Leave the Lakers & How Many Minutes/Games He Wants to Play

Kobe Bryant is entering his 20th season with the Los Angeles Lakers and there’s several questions surrounding him.  Will it be his last season in the league?  Will he leave the Lakers and try to chase a ring elsewhere?  And how many minutes/games will he play after being injured plagued the last couple of seasons?  Well yesterday during media day Bryant answered all those questions.

NBA: Shaq Tells Kobe To Keep Playing After 2015-16 Season

Shaq actually has something good to say about Kobe. A shock right? That may be a stretch because since Shaq has left the league and took up broadcasting on TNT and NBATV, he pretty much has good things to say about the Black Mamba–unless the discussion is surrounding the old days of the duo. After a dominating performance over Andre Berto, Mayweather was asked about the retirement question and stuck by his guns, saying “My career is over, It’s Official”.

Charles Barkley is known for giving his unfiltered, honest opinion and that’s just what he did when discussing Kobe Bryant.  Barkley said this upcoming season should be Kobe’s last, a farewell tour.  He used examples like Michael Jordan and Patrick Ewing to demonstrate the ills of playing past your expiration date.  Of course the Black Mamba didn’t take that lightly and as usual responded to his critic.
