Seattle Reduces Urge To Jump Off ‘Suicide Bridge’
With National Suicide Prevention Week upon us, Seattle has found ways of prevention since they have a historic bridge known for suicidal jumps. After a Aurora Bridge record of 50 suicides since 1995, the Washington State Department of Transportation erected barriers on the bridge to prevent more suicides. Seattle Mariners Use Six Pitchers To Complete A No-Hitter
History was made at Safeco Field on Friday night as the Seattle Mariners used six — yes, six — pitchers to defeat the Dodgers 1-0 and complete only the tenth combined no-hitter in the history of Major League Baseball.  You can say what you want about the Mets but they only needed one pitcher to do that a few games back!!!  Hit the jump for the full story! The “Occupy Wall Street” movement began in New York City on September 17th and has spread to major cities including Philadelphia, LA, Seattle, and Chicago starting yesterday. Hundreds of people have already been arrested and the cost of the protest has already surpassed $2 million but it doesn’t look like the protests will die down anytime soon even though significant cash donations have already been made to the cause. On Thursday night the “Occupy Wall Street” protestors were surprised with an appearance by supporter Talib Kweli. Talib tweeted about wanted to join the protestors earlier in the day before heading down and performing for them. Watch him after the jump. @Julie1205
