Not long after releasing his own documentary Time Is Illmatic, Nas’ hustle in the film industry continues with a brand new film. The Queensbridge emcee collaborated with The Guardian to present an extended clip from his new documentary that covers a popular element of hip-hop that goes beyond the lyrics and the music. Nas explores the art of breakdancing and how it has affected the world from Uganda to Cambodia in Shake The Dust. Watch the clip after the jump!

As if a new summer album from Nasir Jones is not good enough, we hear more great news coming from the the Illmatic emcee. Nas is dipping his executive producer toes in the water of a new break dancing documentary, Shake The Dust. The documentary shows young children and teens from places like Yemen to Uganda showing off their skills of dance action, and how their different cultures have influenced the art. The forthcoming Adam Sjoberg-directed documentary “Shake The Dust” will document the stories of young hip-hop fans from around the world. Nas has been tapped not only as the film’s executive producer, but to provide music for the soundtrack as well.
