NFL: Atlanta Falcons Get Even Better

For a team that didn’t need much help as it is, things just got even better for the Atlanta Falcons. Yesterday they signed former St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson. The deal is worth $12 million for 3 years. The Falcons made the NFC championship game this past season before losing to the 49ers, which should have teams in the NFC worried because this team didn’t need much, and now they landed the best running back available. Sports:(VIdeo) High School Basketball Player Does The Unthinkable

This kid has to feel terrible today, and probably will for a while. Hugo High School in Oklahoma was leading their state quarterfinal game against Millwood 37-36, with just a few seconds remaining. Hugo was going to inbound the ball and should of been able to just run the clock out for a win. However, Hugo guard Trey Johnson lost his mind when the ball was passed to him. Instead of letting the clock run out, he dribbles towards the WRONG basket and lays in 2 points for Millwood just before the buzzer sounds to end the game, giving Millwood the win! I feel bad for this kid, but I still laughed when the people on camera call him stupid. Watch it happen after the jump.

Kicks: LeBron James x Upper Deck Will Auction Off Nike LeBron Xs

LeBron James and Upper Deck have teamed up to further support the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy, that took place in Newtown, CT last December. Just a day after the mass shooting, LeBron and the Miami Heat played against the Washington Wizards, where he wore a personalized version of his Nike LeBron Xs to show support to the victims and their families. The White/Navy-Red Nike LeBron Xs were customized by King James himself using a Sharpie with the words “NEWTOWN, CT” written on them in various places. The game was touching to everyone in the American Airlines Arena that night, especially for LeBron and his teammates as they brought their children onto the court for a moment of silence during the pregame introduction. LeBron showed that he was greatly affected by the tragedy then, and almost 3 months later he still feels the need to take action and help. So, with the help of Upper Deck LeBron will be auctioning off his personalized LeBron Xs next month with his autograph on one shoe, and added words “VS. Wizards 12/15/12 Never Forget!!” on the other. All of the proceeds from the auction will go directly to those victims of the Newtown tragedy through the LeBron James Family Foundation. Check out pics of the sneakers after the jump…
