Yesterday there was yet another shooting at a school, this time at a high school in California. A 16-year-old boy walked into his high school to seek revenge on a student who was bullying him. The young man, who has not been identified, told a teacher that he didn’t want to shoot him. When the teen met with Ryan Heber, the science teacher, he told the teacher, “I don’t want to shoot you,” while the teacher and campus supervisor Kim Lee Fields, were trying to convince him to hand over his gun. During their conversation, 28 students were able to escape the situation and make it safely away from the gunman. According to students, 10 minutes before the shooting teachers were updating them about what to do if there is a shooting in a school. Read more below. Julie A.
