NBA: David Stern Addresses Why He Fined The Spurs $250,000

David Stern exerted his power and further vilified his persona when he fined the San Antonio Spurs $250,000 for sending home star players Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobli and Danny Green on a flight instead of having them at the nationally televised Miami Heat game.  Many think it was about ratings and money with Stern but according to him that’s not the case.  Read more after the jump. NBA: Breaking News! Spurs Fined $250K By The NBA

Just a few minutes ago, NBA commissioner David Stern came down hard on the San Antonio Spurs organization. The NBA fined the team $250K for sending their marquee players Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobli home on a commercial flight before the start of the game with the Miami Heat. Commissioner Stern was very upset with the way the Spurs went about it and the fact that fans were deprived of the chance to see the great players in person. Check the link below for the full story. NBA: Tim Duncan & Spurs Reportedly Agree To 3-Year Deal

Sabrina B. Tim Duncan, who declared himself  “a Spur for life” in March, reportedly has followed through on his intentions to remain in San Antonio.
