Much like on the court, San Antonio Spurs star Tim Duncan prefers to remain mum about his personal life. Unfortunately for him news got out that his wife of 12 years, Amy Duncan is filing for divorce claiming their union has become “insupportable because of discord and conflict.” Well it turns out that Amy isn’t the only one that saw trouble in their marriage. Gregg Popovich is the best coach in the league and one of the best coaches of all time. Unfortunately for San Antonio fans he’s going to have to retire at some point but according to Popovich he won’t do so until Tim Duncan does. Read more after the jump.
Damn, with MJ’s 50th birthday around the corner there is non-stop Joran talk…and I love it! I’ll say this again though – I wish people would stop comparing LeBron to Jordan. No one will ever be Jordan. Please celebrate LeBron for LeBron and all that he is accomplishing on his own (and that goes for Kobe too!). Now with that said…yesterday the big news was that Jordan picked Kobe over LeBron and now we have a little something more to add to that. David Stern handed down a $250,000 fine on the San Antonio Spurs when coach Gregg Popovich decided to rest four healthy players. Popovich sent Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobli, Tony Parker and Danny Green home rather than making them play against the Miami Heat in a nationally televised game. Since then Stern has given his explanation as to why he did it but everyone has been waiting for the reaction of the ever candid but prompt coach Popovich. Read more after the jump. Shay Marie
