NFL: Cowboys To Rock Rarely-Worn, “Cursed” Jerseys For Thanksgiving

It’s a tradition to watch the Cowboys on Thanksgiving (boooo), but this year they’re going to look a little different than past years thanks to the new NFL rules.  They will wear their “cursed” navy blue jerseys instead of the typical holiday throwback uniforms. Details after the jump…

(Video) They Still Have This? Segregated Prom?!?

Four friends in Wilcox County, Georgia are trying to raise money to host an integrated prom. This school has had segregated proms for many years, and there is, separately, one black and one white prom every year. These girls literally could not attend prom together as two of them are black and two are white, and are fighting to have this backwards tradition removed. Check out the video after the jump.

(Photos) Chicago River Turns Green??

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!! Chicago has a tradition since 1970 where they turn the river green for the holiday. They use a dye for the river and have a huge parade, complete with flying leprechaun. Check out the tradition in the gallery.

(Video) The Pope Is Going To Resign Because Of WHAT !?!?

It’s been 600 years since a Pope has resigned and I’m sure that Catholics everywhere are going insane. The end of February is when his royalness will give up his throne. The Vatican has released a statement from Pope Benedict XVI himself stating, “After having repeatedly examined my conscience before God, I have come to the certainty that my strengths, due to an advanced age, are no longer suited to an adequate exercise of the Petrine ministry.” Who will be next? A Vatican spokesperson said that, The Pope “will not take part in conclave” in picking the next up. Everyone is hoping, however that someone would have taken the thrown by March 14th, which is the beginning of their “Holy Week”. This is crazy. 600 years! Isn’t this considered a tradition, that the Pope is now breaking ??? Drop down bottom for more details.

NFL: Do You Know Why The Lions Always Play on Thanksgiving?!

I’m a huge football fan and I know the Lions playing on Thanksgiving is tradition, but not gonna lie – I never knew the reason (I’m ashamed).  Many fans want Thanksgiving games to feature better teams, but the history may change their minds. GameTimeGirl
