Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Ice Cube was on hand alongside Lil Jon, Ty Dolla $ign, Big Sean and A$AP Rocky for a hilarious segment that was for the kids AND the culture! (LOL!) A group of kids remixed some of the guys’ most successful – and dirtiest – songs to much more kid-friendly versions, and the results were hilarious to say the least. Also, please pay close attention to Rocky’s intro. My guy is out here saying “choreogriphied” instead of “choreographed.” Who allowed that to fly and not be re-taped?! WHO!

Hmm, could Ty Dolla $ign be up to something? Yesterday, the Los Angeles native was spotted at the Roc Nation offices, rubbing elbows with none other than the head honcho, Jay Z. Of course, he took a seat on the infamous gold couch in Lenny Santiago’s office as well! Could a move to Roc Nation management be on the way? Ty already has a label home at Atlantic Records and is co-managed by Taylor Gang, but bringing Roc Nation in could certainly make the trifecta complete!

Ty Dolla $ign is not only an accomplished performer, he’s an accomplished songwriter as well. On top of his own tracks, Ty has also had a hand in penning hits for others, including Chris Brown’s “Loyal” and parts of Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg’s “Young, Wild & Free.” While overseas on tour last month, Ty sat down with i-D Magazine, and shared a few tips and tricks on how he gets into the zone – without sharing the entire secret formula, of course.

In 2004, Ty Dolla $ign’s younger brother Gabreal ‘TC’ Griffin was locked up for a murder he and his family say he didn’t commit, and was sentenced to 67 years to life. Since then, Ty has made it his mission to help his brother, both financially with a better legal counsel, as well as bringing awareness to the mass incarceration of wrongly convicted people. After naming his debut album after TC and even featuring phone calls with him and a song he’d recorded on a phone in prison, Ty has teamed up with VICE to premiere a mini documentary about the Free TC movement. Avid weed lover Ty Dolla $ign has teamed up with HUF for a new capsule collection, fittingly dropping on 4/20. The 6-piece collection will keep it very coast coast, and include chinos, a tee-shirt, 6-panel, long-sleeve, socks and a bandana. Part of the collection is available at select retailers now, while the full collection will be released on the intended 4/20 date. If you want to wait, you can cop the pieces AND meet Ty at an in-store meet-and-greet at HUF’s Fairfax store on Friday, May 13, from 6 to 8pm PST.
