Despite taking a break over the weekend to shoot a new music video with Rihanna, Drake wants his fans to know that he’s hard at work and ‘Views From The 6’ is on the way. The 6 God and his team have been dropping hints about the album’s release for quite some time now, including a ‘coming very soon’ announcement on New Year’s Eve and an update from Drake’s producer Noah “40” Shebib. More recently, Drake posted a photo of himself in the studio, surrounded by recording equipment making it all the more clear that we could have ‘Views from the 6’ a lot sooner than later. (Photos + Video) Looks Like Rihanna & Drake Were Shooting A Video Together This Weekend!
Last week, a call sheet began making its rounds on Twitter, purporting to be for the video to a song called “Work” from Rihanna, featuring Drake. (That means this would live on ANTI.) These kind of things end up online all the time and they’re often fake…but this one appeared to be confirmed after tons of photos and videos of the pair shooting a video surfaced on social media over the weekend! Following DJ Khaled putting up a Snapchat clip from what appeared to be a video set with Drizzy saying they’re “up to something,” fans began reporting seeing the former couple at an LA shopping mall, and even were able to record snippets of the song! (Video) Drake Gives An Update On ‘Views From The 6’ At NYE Party
Drake performed at a NYE party in Miami last night, and aside from Birdman and Lil Wayne reuniting there, we also got an update on his next album, Views From The 6! Taking to the mic, Drizzy proudly told the crowd that Views is “coming very soon.” Who knows what “very soon” actually even means, but let’s be hopeful that it’s literal and we’ll get it within the next few months! Toronto Life Magazine created a list of their 50 Most Influential People for their latest issue, and their cover features none other than their hometown hero, Drizzy Drake. Waaaay up! There’s no word whether this means he earned the top spot or if it’s just one of many covers with the people featured on the list, but I can’t imagine there are that many more people as influential as the 6 God for Toronto. “My most important magazine cover to date,” Drake wrote on Instagram.
