Drake Sells Over 1,000,000 Copies Of “Views” First Week

After Drake debuted at no. 1 on the Billboard charts with a record breaking 245.1 million streams in it’s first week, more good news for Drizzy keeps flourishing in. This time around it’s that he’s finally achieved a feat he’s been gunning for all his career, to sell 1,000,000 legitimate copies first week.

Whether you have been feeling the album or not, Drake is killing the game with his album sales and hot singles. With a whopping 1 million sales in the first week alone, he definitely has a reason to celebrate.

Drake Is Officially Platinum After 6 Days

In just under 6 days, Drake’s label has announced that Views has moved over 1.2 million copies – certifying it as platinum status! Part of those sales include 250 million streams on Apple Music – BUT, there may be a loophole I’m not sure if this is true, but I read that in adding “Hotline Bling” to the project – which was ALREADY a platinum single, he got all of the streams it garnered since its release last fall. That’s a pretty decent leg to stand on, huh? Either way, congrats Drizzy! This is HUGE!

(Video) Joe Budden Gives His Opinion On Drake’s ‘Views’ Album

Joe Budden has give us a taste of what I would call the unspoken truth. With Drake’s ‘Views’ just being debuted a lot of people are giving their opinion as to whether or not they are feeling it. Budden says he is a fan of Drake but he does think that Drake has progressed. He says 40 on the other hand sounds ‘Amazing.’

(Video) NBA: Kevin Durant Reacts to Drake Dropping His Name on “VIEWS”

Drake is the Global Ambassador for the Toronto Raptors but he likes to drop the names of other players in his songs like Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant.  Back in 2014, he tried to recruit Durant to the Raptors during one of his concerts and it cost the team a $25,000 fine for violating the NBA’s anti-tampering policy.  As Durant’s free agency is even closer with him being an unrestricted free agent this summer, Drake dropped Durant’s name again, this time on his song “Weston Road Flows” off his album VIEWS.
