Sexting normally starts out as innocent text convo that vaguely alludes to nastiness. What do I mean by this you ask? Well, when you exchange numbers with someone, be it innocent or sexually malicious, a text convo usually ensues. Maybe you know that you’re not going to cheat on your guy or girl, but you just want to have a little fun. You guys know my philosophy. Anything you do that you wouldn’t want done to you is CHEATING. But I digress, not everyone shares my point of view. I chatted with a few guys and gals and here’s what they had to say…
“Sexting is basically a big tease. But what happens when someone wants to call your bluff and invite you out of the realm of sexting into sexing? That’s when you know you’re in HOT WATER! See, you’ve already developed a sexual attraction to that person. So your will to resist the D or P will be low. Just sayingâ€.- Jessica
“Sexting is like Attempted Murder…it’s the same charge. Just because you didn’t kill the person doesn’t mean you didn’t try. And just because you didn’t have sex with the person doesn’t mean you didn’t try toâ€. – Roy
“I think sexting is cheating but it only works if you’re in the same area as the person. If you’re miles away, theres no harm but if he is in the next building over or downstairs and I’m upstairs then it will serve it’s purpose and something more will happen. So I think its cool in distance, but if you have a significant other and your sexting someone that is in your area, you are cheatingâ€.- Nadirah

“Just the idea of sharing those types of intimate thoughts and photos with anyone outside of your girl or guy is borderline foul. If you wouldn’t cc: your girlfriend or boyfriend on the text then you have no business sending itâ€.- Lisha

i have done it myself and felt guilty afterwards BUT it was with someone i don’t know and live no where close to, no pictures were exchanged and it has enhanced mine and my partners sex life incredibly, yes I do have a sexual attraction to the person i am sexting with but he knows that I am in a committed relationship and is ok with that. I will not go see him. Does that make me guilty of cheating??
