Allen Iverson‘s divorce has taken a nasty turn — according to his estranged wife, the former NBA star went on a massive spending spree after she filed for divorce, leaving her completely penniless. Â Read more after the jump.
Tawanna just filed new docs in their bitter divorce battle — claiming ever since she filed for divorce in June, Allen stopped depositing money in their joint bank account … and then made several large cash withdrawals, including one for $20,000 … which he spent on diamond jewelry.
Tawanna claims the account was $23,000 in the red at the time she filed the court docs — and she’s been unable to pay the bills … or provide for their 5 kids.
According to Tawanna — who says she gave up her career to be a stay-at-home mom — Allen is worth over $20 million … and refuses to help her out simply out of spite.
Allen denies Tawanna’s allegations in the docs — and since they’re at a stalemate … the judge will have to play peacemaker.  So far, no hearing date has been set.
I will never understand why rich men get married. Most if not every single one of these marriages end up in nasty divorces and fights over there money. They end up having to give up half or most of there money. Why do they need to marry these women?If they want kids they can get them with out getting married it’s such a big mistake to get married. When will we as men admit that 99.9% of women are only good for sex and the remaining percent is so hard to find that the number really is 100%.

ya’ll are dumb! him and tawanna been together since they was 16 so she just aint “ANY” woman/groupie he just picked up. Its his wife of 10 years, like wtf? if he’s not owning up to his responsibilities then he should! point blank! why ya’ll siding him? cus he “allen iverson” or ur fav b ball player? NAW! at the end of the day, he’s a father! & he do be gambling, going to strip clubs throwing his money away on strippers, he even recently fucked this stripper hoe & paid her. Im sure if u layed down & had 5 kids for someone, been with em since 16, been married for YEARS, stopped ur life just to make sure his career was on point & that the kids was taken care of, and then being cheated on & then going through a nasty divorce then yo’ man dont wanna pay up, im sure you’d be mad too. Plus she had to drop what she was doin just to take care of him & the kids,so of course he got to help pay the rent. he basically made her drop everything just to maintain his basketball lifestyle which isnt easy. so think about that before u judge.
