In December 1999 Diddy, Jennifer Lopez and Shyne got into an altercation with Mathew Scar Allen in a New York City night club and Shyne fired off several shots.
While Diddy and Jennifer were cleared of any wrongdoing, Shyne was found guilty on multiple gun charges and served almost 10 years in prison.
Diddy’s $850,000 was part of a multi-million dollar settlement paid to innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire.
The late Matthew “Scar” Allen who was killed in East New York last year.
