HBO is in serious legal trouble following the cover-up of deaths of horses and other cruelty to animals charges on the set of their now cancelled serious, “Luck.” “Luck” was a racing drama that was cancelled back in March. Now Barbara Casey, who was director of production in the American Humane Association’s film and television unit, is suing HBO for wrongful termination as well as abuse to animals. According to Casey, HBO and Stewart Productions pushed the AHA to allow them to violate their standards to film. Read more details below.

Barbara claims she witnessed underweight horses, drugged horses, sick horses that often worked for the show, as well as producers being unable to keep up with the horses health records. It is reported that four horses died during the production of the drama. Casey is also slamming the AHA for allowing such things to appease the TV network, including covering up the death of one of the horses.
