Jersey Shore just can’t get a break. From the bad rep brought on by the show bearing the same name to Hurricane Sandy’s demolition, this one may be the most ironic. Gillian’s Wonderland Pier in Ocean City, NJ has issued a $500 reward for the return of their mascot, Wonder Bear. After returning to work early Sunday morning, workers found only Wonder Bear’s head, feet and one hand after burglars broke into a room where the costume was stored. Could things get any worse? Hit the jump to find out.

I guess they could. Luckily, no one was in the suit when it was stolen, but beach-goers didn’t hesitate to express their grief over the missing bear on the park’s Facebook page.

Check out photos of the bear before and after the theft above in the Gallery.
