Crazy world we live in. A California priest has just been sentenced to 8 years in prison for “actions of a weak and sinful man.” 33-year-old Father Uriel Ojeda was convicted for molesting a teenage girl multiple times.
Pleading “no contest,” Ojeda was accused of sneaking into the young girl’s room and climbing into her bed as she slept on the nights that he was ordained.
“You traumatized me, and you thought I would never tell anyone, didn’t you? But you thought wrong,” the girl told him in a letter that was read in court by Deputy District Attorney Allison Dunham.
Despite, the Pope’s most recent liberal acts and statements, there is absolutely no excuse for that type of behavior; the Vatican announced that it has begun the process of defrocking Ojeda.
