Well it looks like Apple isn’t the only company breaking labor law violations these days. The Brazilian government has sued Samsung for over $100 million for alleged labor abuses.
Apparently Samsung has workers working up to 15 hours a day without sufficient breaks. The Brazilian government is also saying that more than 200 workers have suffered from health problems that are directly linked to the poor conditions in the Samsung factories. This is not the first time Samsung has been in hot water with labor law disputes since they were previously accused to employing child labor is Chinese factories. All they had to say was that they are “conducting a thorough review” of its labor practices and cooperating with the Brazilian government.
