Police Search Girl Killed

Pictured is Charles Jones holding an image of his slain 7-year-old daughter, Aiyana Stanley-Jones. In case you didn’t know, these two are who J. Cole’s Crooked Smiles video is loosely based on. Well, on December 4th, the officer responsible for her tragic, untimely death will be back on trial. For some odd reason, his trial back in June regarding the murder, went without a verdict.

J. Cole’s Crooked Smile shows the artist as a father fallen victim to the War On Drugs. After a barbecue for his daughter’s birthday, police begin to raid his character’s home, leading to the unfortunate death of the young girl.

Although the outcome, despite tragic, was eerily similar to Aiyana Jones’, police weren’t at her home to apprehend her father. The were tipped off by an informant regarding the whereabouts of a man suspected of shooting a teenager earlier that day.

The suspected shooter was Chauncey Owens. He did live in the building, however the property was a duplex, and he lived on the second floor.

The officer, Joseph Weekley, claims that Jones’ grandmother reached for his gun, causing him to fire, but that is found to be untrue. Check out the GALLERY to see pics created from Aiyana’s autopsy.
