After his performance in the playoffs last year, it became clear Paul George was set to have a break out year this season. He is already off to a good start and is also talking confident as well. Earlier in the week Derrick Rose took a small shot at the Pacers when he said he didn’t believe they were a rival of the Bulls. He said the Heat are the Bulls only rivals, but the way he said it also had the tone that he was brushing the Pacers off. Well now they are 5-0 and feeling good. Hit the jump to see what Paul said.

The Pacers have made their presence known in the Eastern conference that they are a contender as well. After a win the other night, George said “They have won three straight at home against the Bulls and four of the past five meetings overall. We want to step away from that shadow as the ‘little brothers’ of this division,” George told NBA.com. “Their success is the Michael Jordan era. This is a new age, this is a new team. It’s ours till they take it.”

He has a point, with Rose out last year, the Pacers took the spot of second best in the east and this year they only seem to be better.
