It didn’t take long for Jadeveon Clowney to share his decision regarding his football future, as the South Carolina defensive end said Wednesday he will skip his senior season and enter the NFL draft.
Within minutes of the Gamecocks’ 34-24 victory over Wisconsin in the Capital One Bowl, Clowney was asked if this was his last season and if he was declaring for the NFL draft.
His response to each question: “Yes, sir.”
Louisville Cardinals quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will forgo his senior season and enter the NFL draft, the school announced Wednesday.
“This was an extremely difficult decision for me,” Bridgewater said in a statement released by the school on Wednesday. “I can’t express how much my time at Louisville has meant to me. These past three years have allowed me to mature as a person and leave the university as a better person and with my degree in hand, which was one of my goals.
“I will cherish every moment on the field and off the field, and every bond I built.”
Bridgewater, 21, is the top-rated quarterback prospect by ESPN’s Todd McShay and the No. 8 player overall.
Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is strongly considering picking Roc Nation Sports and rapper Jay-Z to represent him.
Two sources said Wednesday that Bridgewater has been talking to Roc Nation, which is owned by Jay-Z, about serving as his agency. He is the third prominent college football underclassman to be linked to the relatively new firm that Jay Z started in late 2012.
In addition to Bridgewater, South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney and UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley have been mentioned as having interest in Roc Nation if they turn pro.
