Police confirmed that 3 elephants escaped the Shrine Circus in St. Charles on Saturday afternoon. They must of had a lot of fun roaming through the parking lot because they caused damage to multiple cars. If I was an owner of one of those cars I would be tight!!

Witnesses said they elephants were frightened by extremely loud noises and they just took off. “They are now resting comfortably in their compound at this time”, which was released in a statement from the Shrine Circus.
Karyn Tunnicliff, a witness who was in the car outside the arena said “We saw all these people running after them, and they were all screaming ‘stop, stop’ and several of the circus people were trying to run alongside them… A trainer yelled we need pretzels anything, just get me some food”. Apparently 3 elephants don’t stop no show because the next show went on.
The elephants were only out for about 45 minutes and thank goodness nobody was injured but still!
