Thousands of people signed the petition to deport Justin Bieber but the White House will not take part on the issue at hand. The White House wrote, “Sorry to disappoint, but we won’t be commenting on this one.” The petition was on the White House’s “We the People” website on January 23rd to deport Bieber after his DUI arrest and drag race charges. If Bieber committed a crime that had a sentence longer than a year, then he could face deportation.

The petition said, “We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nations youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society.” The White House added, “we’ll leave it to others to comment on Mr. Bieber’s case, but we’re glad you care about immigration issues. Because our current system is broken. Too many employers game the system by hiring undocumented workers, and 11 million people are living in the shadows.”

The petition had more than 100,000 signatures that was needed to get the White House’s attention. It was the site’s most popular online petition to date.
