Could this be a real life scene out of “Scandal”? White House press secretary, Jay Carney, resigned today from his position. Carney, who replaced Robert Gibson as the White House’s spokesman in 2011, will be leaving in mid-June. To read more, click below.
The deputy press secretary, Josh Earnest, will be promoted to the new White House spokesman. He has been with Obama’s administration since 2008. After President Obama made the announcement today, Carney answered a few questions from the press. Here is what he had to say about his time at the White House and his future plans:
“It’s been an amazing experience. Just so fulfilling. I haven’t made any decisions yet. I’m excited by some of the possibilities. I’m sure you guys will be among the first to know after I’ve decided what to do.”
