A very unfortunate event occurred this past weekend in Columbus, OH. While attending a first birthday party, 4-year-old Sinaia Moore tragically drowned as the rest of the party-goers sang ‘Happy Birthday.’ Hit the jump for the full story.
According to sources, police say Sinaia Moore was found at the bottom of the backyard pool in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday evening (5.31). She was pulled out of four feet of water and taken to hospital but later died.
Columbus Police Department’s Sgt Christ Holzhauser went on to say, “They were singing Happy Birthday to the [other] child. So a lot of folks had their attention diverted away from the pool.”
Holzhauser also added that the situation was “clearly a sad, unfortunate accident,” but I see nothing that indicates that anyone was inattentive, negligent in any manner.”
