Thank god this was unmanned, so no one was killed, but this definitely reminds us of when the challenger exploded be in the 80’s. Although no apparent loss of life, they do say ‘Damage is significant’.

At 629p EDT today a rocket with supplies to the ISS(International Space Station), tried to go up when it started coming right back down and exploded.

“There was failure on launch,” NASA spokesman Jay Bolden said. “There was no indicated loss of life.”

For now the Orbital Sciences team is securing the site and collecting as much data as possible!
