Elvis Summers, an ordinary LA man has made an extraordinary difference. He became an internet star over night after building a tiny house for a homeless woman named ‘Smokie’ who lived in a patch of dirt on his block. Summers plans to continue to build for the homeless and has many on board for the good cause! Find out more after the jump!

Elvis and Smokie met after countless visits Smokie took to his recycling. Summers heard about a man in California who builds tiny homes out of discarded materials and was inspired.

He invested $500 in supplies and construction of the home he was preparing for Smokie. 5 days later, Smokie had a home to call her own after living on the streets for years. Summers even included wheels on the tiny house so it can be easily transported from one location to another.

The video Elvis has put up on YouTube of the entire process has already been viewed by 1.7 million people.

The Local Police are supportive of his act of goodwill and have given him no trouble at all.

“They have told me they support it as long as we move it to a different spot every 72 hours” Summers told Good News Network since the miniature home does not have a permit.

Tons of fans impacted by this story of kindness have reached out to Elvis asking for his help to build other homes for the homeless.

He has now started up a ‘GoFundMe’ page to expand the cause!

“This ‘Welcome Home: A Tiny House, Huge Purpose’ project is to build tiny houses for homeless Women, Men, Children, US Veterans and Families. Human Beings, not ‘bums or trash’ who need a little humanity, a little help to get off the streets.”

An estimate of $10,000 has already been raised for the fund.
