Hillary Clinton has finally addressed the plethora of issues that have been hurled at her since she stepped into the race for President in 2016. Earlier today, the Democratic Presidential hopeful gave her first national interview of her presidential run. After claiming she is trusted by the American people, Clinton shared her feelings about Donald Trump’s racist remarks about immigrants. Find out what she had to say after the jump!

While in Iowa City, Iowa, Hillary Clinton told CNN that she’s “very disappointed” In Donald Trump for his racist remarks towards immigrants as well as the Republican party for not responding appropriately. In her first national interview, Clinton expressed her disappointment towards Trump and put blame on the Republican party for upholding a similar “spectrum of hostility” towards undocumented immigrants.

Contrary to popular belief, Clinton claims she’s confident that the American people trust her even after her previous, unfortunate Benghazi situation and the drama surrounding the use of her personal email account. She pins most of the blame on Republicans since she’s been “subjected to a constant barrage of attacks that are largely fomented by and coming from the right.”

“This is being blown up with no basis in law or in fact,” said Clinton. “That’s fine, I get it — this is being, in effect, used by the Republicans in the Congress. OK.”
