I hate when the word anonymous gets used because that allows people to talk really brave. Someone will have much more courage to talk tough or call someone out if they know it can’t get back to them. Apparently there are multiple Jets players saying they do not want Sheldon Richardson anywhere near the team from now on after his arrest for reckless driving. It doesn’t seem so much the driving itself is what bothered them, but more so the lies and constant issues surrounding him. Oh and not too mention having a 12 year old in the car when he was being reckless.

Several members of the NY Jets tell TMZ Sports they want Sheldon Richardson OFF THE TEAM — claiming his speeding arrest with a 12-year-old in the car is simply “disgusting.”

We spoke with multiple starters from the Jets who tell us they’re well aware of the allegations against Richardson — that cops say he was clocked at 143 mph in his Bentley on July 14th with a 12-year-old kid and a gun in the car.

“He shouldn’t be back on the team,” one NY player tells us … “It’s disgusting to think he’d do something like that with a kid in the car.”

Another starting player tells us, “I’m very disappointed in what he did. I have kids, I can’t even imagine doing what he did.”

Richardson has already been suspended for the first 4 games of the season for failing an unrelated weed test — but the Jets say they’re now looking into this incident as well to see if they need to take action.

But if he never came back, it clearly wouldn’t bother some of the Jets — one of whom told us, “I never liked him anyway.”

The team has a lot to think about with this situation. You don’t want to have players around that other guys don’t respect. On the other hand, Richardson is a young talent with great potential if someone can get him to keep his nose clean off the field.
