It’s no secret that many athletes have a wife, girlfriend, a jump off and more but it’s usually kept under wraps.  For a second this guy became a legend when he gave a victory speech and thanked his wife and his girlfriend.

MMA fighter Benny Madrid defeated Jeff Fletcher by submission with a rear choke hold at the World Series of Fighting event on Friday night.

During his customary post fight interview, he said something that caught everyone’s attention.

“Thank you everyone who believed in me, my wife and girlfriend,” Madrid said.

Sports Illustrated posted the story on their Facebook page and Benny actually commented himself to clear things up on what he really meant.
