Nicki's mom

Over the weekend, you’ve probably come across dozens of stupid posts on Instagram, alleging Fetty Wap is a devil worshiper and that the ad-lib at the beginning of the song “679” says exactly that. If you felt like giving yourself a headache, you probably even read the comments, where people are CONFIDENT that that’s what he’s saying, and seem to know so much about this kid from New Jersey selling his soul to become famous. Seems so totally legit, guys.

You may or may not know that this all started because Nicki Minaj’s mom, Carol Maraj, tweeted (and later deleted):

@CarolMarajinc: There’s a song called 679. In the first 6 seconds the rapper is stating he is a devil worshiper.

After a while, the commentary became so much that Fetty himself decided to reply on Instagram, stating that he merely says “RemyBoy Lifestyle.”

After what I’m assuming was a ton of comments and possibly even her own daughter probably calling her up like, “Ma – really?!”, Mama Carol has since made a video “clearing the air.”

“Hi everyone. Someone betrayed my trust and tweeted some information about Fetty that I did not give permission to. I’ve since dealt with that. Fetty, I wish you a speedy recovery.”

Not really an apology, but I guess she doesn’t really owe him one if that’s how she feels, LOL. The whole thing is silly either way.
