A mother and son were found dead in their Jersey City apartment. Investigators are considering the deaths suspicious.

A mother and her 5-year-old son were found unconscious in their Jersey City apartment around 6:00pm, after which hey were taken to Christ Hospital where they were pronounced dead about a half hour later.

According to ABC News, Jersey City Fire Department tested the air quality and so far all tests have come back negative for carbon monoxide.

Not much information is available just yet about the victims or what caused their deaths, but officials say the mother was in her 20s. The deaths are being considered suspicious.
