Market-research firm The NPD Group conducted a recent study about the marketability of our favorite celebs in entertainment today, and you may be pretty surprised by the results!

He may not be topping charts right now, but singer-songwriter Ne-Yo took the top spot based on brand endorsements, followed by Usher, Wiz Khalifa, The Weeknd, Kevin Hart and Dr. Dre.

As for the ladies, Rihanna was named the most marketable, followed by Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez and Khloé Kardashian. Not only was Rih-Rih the top female – she was first overall!

According to Details, here’s how The NDP Group developed the results:

The Group developed this ranking with its BrandLink database, a massive log of information about consumers, the celebrities they follow, and the brands they’re likely to buy. By studying that intersection, NPD can determine which famous folk would make the best spokesperson for a specific brand. (Rihanna, apparently, could help Jeep make a killing.)
