Earlier this week it was reported that Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat were at odds as Bosh wanted to return to the court and the Heat preferred to be cautious and keep him out.  Well the two came together for a joint statement to announce that Bosh will remain out for the rest of the postseason.

“The Miami Heat and Chris Bosh announce that Chris will not be playing in the remainder of the 2016 NBA Playoffs,” the statement read. “The Heat, Chris, the doctors and medical team have been working together throughout this process and will continue to do so to return Chris to playing basketball as soon as possible.”

The joint statement was no doubt used to ease public belief about the tension going on between them.  Bosh and his wife Adrienne had a social media campaign with the hashtag #BringBoshBack.  They also brought in the players union to meet with Miami about the issue, but that meeting has not taken place.  The Heat preferred to keep him out and on blood thinners to prevent the recurrence of dangerous blood clots.

The Heat are currently playing the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference semi-finals; they have a 1-0 lead.
