Lebron James has played alot of basketball in his 13 year NBA career. The constant late season playoff runs, the summers with team USA and through it all he has remained remarkably healthy. As we have seen in the first couple games of this season, Lebron looks better than ever physically, despite approaching his 32nd birthday in December. The way he stays in shape is something that’s not lost on his coach, Tyronn Lue.

“He does a great job taking care of his body. He’s always working, always training,” Lue said. “He reminds me a lot of Floyd Mayweather. He just trains all year round to stay ready and keep his body in shape.”

Both Floyd and Lebron have done an amazing job taking care of themselves and being disciplined with their training, which is what allows them to have the longevity they’ve had.

“I think it’s harder to take off three or four months and then come back and try to train and get your body acclimated to the pounding. LeBron does a great job of just training all year round to make sure he’s ready for the season when it starts.”

Floyd is approaching 40 years old soon but with the amount of basketball Lebron has played over the years, the wear on both of their bodies is essentially the same. Lue still had to make jokes about Bron’s age so he doesn’t have any excuses for easing up.

“He’s been in the league for 13 or 14 years, but he’s only 31 years old. He still has a lot of basketball to play. If he’s 37 or 38 doing this, then we’ve got something to talk about.”
