Emwazi who came to be known as “Jihadi John” first appeared in videos produced by ISIS last August in which he killed American journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff. The threat was issued after Letterman referenced Ilyas Kashmiri, an al Qaeda leader killed in a drone strike in Pakistan in June, on his late night show. Zachary Adam Chesser encouraged violent jihadists to attack “South Park” writers for an episode that depicted the Prophet Mohammed in a bear suit, court documents said.
