Everyone knows things ran smoother when Dr. Jerry Buss was alive and well, running the Los Angeles Lakers. Unfortunately he passed away and all major basketball decisions have been left in the hands of his son Jim Buss. His sister Jeanie Buss (who’s also more popular) believes had their father still been alive then they would’ve been able to keep Dwight Howard. Read more after the jump.

Many people forget that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was a football player way before he became a star wrestler. He was part of a championship team at the University of Miami in the early 90’s and was an important player. Other names became more famous from that team, like Warren Sapp, but The Rock was a starting defensive lineman at the school as well. Since he has donated alot of money to his former school, they did something nice for him. They renamed the locker room after him and even had a mural painted on the wall. NBA: Report, Suns Will Release Michael Beasley After Arrest
Earlier this week, Michael Beasley was arrested for possession of marijuana. It is not his first brush with police that involved marijuana. The Phoenix Suns were not too amused with the latest arrest. In fact, they are so displeased with him, a report states he will be released within the month of August, even though they will still have to pay him the $9 million dollars he is owed for the upcoming season. Mark Cuban never bites his tongue, and you can either hate him or love him for it. But this time it was in defense, surprisingly of Alex Rodriguez and the way he feels major league baseball has treated him. He was on the Jay Leno show last night to discuss it.
