In the new Man Of Steel movie that pits Batman and Superman against each other, Henry Cavill had already been selected as Superman, and there were rumors of a shortlist that included a $50 million offer to Christian Bale and Ryan Gosling as possibilities for the 2015 release of the movie. Jimmy Kimmel and show writer, Molly McNearney, tied the knot this past weekend in California. Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Jennifer Aniston, Justin Theroux, Matt Damon and his wife Luciana, Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi, Dax Shepard, Kristen Bell, Johnny Knoxville, Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, and more were all guests at the Kimmel wedding. Congrats go out to Ben Affleck, as he received one of six honorary doctorate degrees from Brown University during the Ivy League school’s commencement ceremony yesterday afternoon. The award-winning actor was the recipient of a doctor of fine arts degree. The other 5 honorary doctorates went to author and MIT Professor Junot Diaz; retired Stanford University bacteriologist Stanley Falkow; Tougaloo College President Beverly Wade Hogan; medical doctor and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation President Risa Lavizzo-Mourey; and Miami Dade College President Eduardo Padron.
