NBA: Rockets Rookie Royce White Will Travel to Games By Bus Due to Anxiety Disorder

Royce White, the Houston rookie who suffers from anxiety problems and can’t fly, is going to try to travel by bus for the Rockets’ road games. It sounds practically impossible to pull off, considering the distances and time involved. But White can’t do it any other way. Several teams, including Atlanta, crossed his name off their draft lists because of his condition. He takes medication to try to help deal with it.  Read more after the jump. A bus driver must have really not wanted to give one of his passengers the benefit of the doubt at 4 am.  A woman was scene conversing with him on the bus and the driver just shoves her right out of the bus mid-conversation. NBA: Rockets’ Royce White Has Fear of Flying, So How Will He Get To Games?!

Houston Rockets first-round draft pick Royce White is a no-show at training camp and said he and the team are working on a plan to address his fear of flying. The 6-foot-8 White was the 16th overall pick after one season at Iowa State. White suffers from anxiety and fear of flying. He says on Twitter that he’s working with the team on an “innovative plan” to balance treatment with the NBA schedule. GameTimeGirl

Abusive Stepfather Gives Teen $200 And Puts Him On A Bus To California

An 18-year-old boy, who looked like he was 12 or 13 after years of abuse, was discovered at a bus station in Los Angeles after coming from Georgia. The boy told police his abusive stepfather gave him $200, a list of homeless shelters, and put him on a bus to LA. The parents have now been arrested on child abuse and false imprisonment charges.
