K.Dot Talks The Pressure Of Creating An Album Better Than “Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City”

If you are any where near a Kendrick Lamar fan – such as myself – than you’re still listening to Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City and waiting for K.Dot’s sophomore album with toes tapping. Although, genius does take time. Kendrick talks to Complex for their August/September 2014 issue about taking his time on the next release, so that measuring up to the skill that he showed during Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City will be easy like Sunday morning. While we hope that an end to Kendrick’s creating an album process is near, there is still no cover art, he admits to have recorded about 30-40 possible tracks and he’s still, “flirting with ideas.” Tae Beats, Sounwave of Digi+Phonics as well as Dr. Dre are a few of the producers to be working on the album – sure to be great. “Kendrick shook up the rap game, so anticipation for his second offering is through the roof,” says Nas. TRUTH! “Whatever he does will be appreciated, but at the same time he knows he has to bring it,” he adds. Also, TRUTH! I’ll just be over here biting my nails as I wait. For now, hit the jump to check out what K.Dot mentions about the pressure, or lack there of in creating the follow-up to his debut album.

(Photos) Young Thug Covers Complex Magazine…And Gives The Greatest Interview Ever

Young Thug is making waves in the music industry, and continues his rise to superstardom as he covers the June/July issue of Complex magazine….a cover that almost didn’t happen because of his antics. To top it off, the accompanying interview he gave leaves MUCH to be desired, but luckily his mentor Birdman swooped in to salvage at least some of it. I definitely do enjoy Thugga and his highly-entertaining songs and photos…but behavior like this starting this early in his career doesn’t seem too promising! Check out the interview below and hit the link for the full story. It’s a really great read (because of the folks at Complex, not Young Thug…LOL.)
